"The National Police of Ukraine has completed a two-year long investigation aimed at putting an end to the practice of rigging football games: the law enforcers documented involvement of five crime rings, 320 individuals, 35 football clubs based in 10 regions. For the first time well-founded charges are brought against not only the players but also against the masterminds. Football matches must be fair!" Avakov tweeted on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports.
On May 22, Ukraine’s law enforcers carried out a state-wide manhunt for those involved in fixing football matches.
