"Our international partners are looking forward for this decision to be taken. Business owners see this decision as a priority step required for making progress in the fight against corruption. Those citizens, for whom it is vital not only in words, but in deeds to see that everyone is equal before the law and that a just sentence will be given to every corrupt official, are looking forward for this decision," Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
He also recalled that "one third of the corruption-related probes initiated by NABU (Ukraine’s National Anti-corruption Bureau) and SAP (Specialized Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office) gather dust on judges’ shelves while corrupt officials continue ripping off the people."
Therefore, he believes lawmakers need to get together and adopt the bill No. 7440 which would constitute the final link required for making the anti-corruption system as efficient as possible and strengthening the partners’ confidence in Ukraine.
