There will be no meeting of Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin at the Economical Forum in Sochi due to the crisis in Ukraine.

Censor.NET informs about it, referring to Der Spiegel and sources in German goverment. Intergovernmental consultations with Russia, according to the online version of the magazine, are also cancelled. It is known that the International Investment Forum in Sochi was held on September 18-21. It was attended by diplomatic representatives of Abkhazia, Armenia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso has no plans to conduct a formal bilateral meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of the Milan 10th ASEM Summit (ASEM10) on October 16-17. Russian President Vladimir Putin may hold a meeting with Poroshenko, Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande next week during a visit to the 10th ASEM Summit in Milan. Earlier, Censor.NET reported that a number of German organizations boycotted the Petersburg Dialogue forum held in Sochi.
