 Germany Cancels Consultations with Russian Government due to Aggression Against Ukraine - Der Spiegel

Due to aggression against Ukraine, Germany cancelled intergovernmental consultations with Russia in 2014.

Der Spiegel magazine reports about it, referring to sources in German goverment, Censor.NET writes.

According to the publication, Berlin considers it unreasonable to hold a meeting with Moscow at the level of ministers and heads of government, DW states.

Intergovernmental consultations were usually held in conjunction with the German-Russian forum Petersburg Dialogue. In 2014, it was planned for the end of October in Sochi, but were no meetings of the members of two governments scheduled in the city.
