 Former Riot Policeman and Executioner of Maidan Fled to Crimea

The suspect in the shooting of the Maidan activists, former “Berkut” (riot police) officer Dmytro Sadovnyk may be in the territory of occupied Crimea.

Censor.NET reports that this was stated by an unnamed senior law enforcement official to Ukrinform.

"According to our information, he (Sadovnyk) fled to Crimea, and is currently there," the source said.

According to him, the probability of the information being correct is "very high."

On October 3, commander of the Berkut special purpose company of the Kyiv police, Dmytro Sadovnyk, suspected of involvement in the killing of 39 protesters on the Maidan, escaped from house arrest.

On September 19, a judge of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv changed his preventive measure from detention to house arrest.
