"In Luhansk section of the forefront, the enemy bombarded the ATO troops near Zaitseve with 152-mm artillery banned by Minsk agreements and employed infantry weapons and snipers against them. The invaders also shelled the defenders of Troitske with 120-mm mortars and defenders of Novooleksandrivka – with 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers. Ukrainian military personnel deployed near Luhanske came under large-caliber machine guns fire.
"In Donetsk direction, the militants fired upon the ATO forces’ positions on the outskirts of Vodiane and Hnutove villages with banned 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms while Novotroitske defenders were bombarded with 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers. Grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms were employed against defenders of Avdiivka, Butivka mine, Pyshchevyk, Verkhniotoretske, Talakivka, Pavlopil, and Kamianka. The invaders committed attacks near Vodiane and Pavlopil using armament of infantry fighting vehicles. The enemy fired upon defenders of Opytne and Lebedynske with large-caliber machine guns and used small arms near Shyrokyne and Nevelske. Moreover, the Ukrainian strong points near Hnutove and Lebedynske were attacked by enemy snipers.
"Regrettably, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and three more servicemen were injured in action over the past 24-hour period. The injured servicemen were promptly taken to hospitals and provided with the necessary medical care," the situation report reads.
Earlier, Russian proxies attacked Ukrainian troops in the Donbas 52 times on April 17.
