 ATO Area Will Not Be Expanded – SBU Press Service

Adviser to the Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Markiian Lubkivskyi stated that there are no plans to expand the ATO zone.

According to Censor.NET, he wrote about it on Facebook. "I want to reassure everyone: there was not and is not any expansion, nor any is planned!" Lubkivskyi wrote. "On the contrary, according to the order signed by the first deputy chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine - the leader of the ATO center at the SBU Vasyl Hrytsak the ATO territory was actually narrowed since September 14 to two Ukrainian regions - Donetsk and Luhansk, whereas from April 7 it covered some areas of the Kharkiv region." he noted.

"I want to note that this order will not affect the provision of combat participant status for persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine at the time of the operation," Lubkivskyi added. The head of the State Service for War Veterans and ATO members Artur Derevianko reported that the SBU will soon unveil the territorial area of the ATO, which will include the Donetsk and Luhansk, and possibly a part of the Kharkiv region.
