"As long as Ukraine has no NATO membership, which is actually a long way off, we should understand that in case of large-scale offensive we have only our own forces to rely on just as in 2014. What can possibly stop an aggressive nuclear power from a large-scale invasion? Only a powerful advanced deterrent weapon capable of destroying the enemy at any range," Turchynov said in an interview with Gordon news outlet, Censor.NET reports.
The NSDC secretary is convinced that this task must be fulfilled by Ukraine as a matter of priority.
"And no one in the world has neither moral nor legal right to disagree with this stance," he stressed.
