 Taxation Without Representation: DPR Militants Demand 14% Tax on Mines

The DPR wants 14% of the mines profits to be sent to the unrecognized terrorist organization.

Such a provision was adopted in the first reading by the "Supreme Council" of the DPR, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinfrom.

Also, the "Supreme council" took other transitional provisions in the field of energy in preparation for winter. In particular, the position of temporal order pricing for solid fuel supplied for domestic needs of "DNR" people in the heating season 2014-2015. It provides that each consumer can get the winter three tons of coal.

At the meeting it was proposed to introduce a fixed price of 800 hryvnia per ton. As a result, it was decided to assign a price for each type of coal. The proposals will be prepared for October 14, when these provisions will be passed in the second reading. The distribution mechanism of coal is still unknown. It is expected that these provisions will be in effect until April 15, 2015.
