No Agreements About Alleged Border Movement, Poroshenko Says

President Petro Poroshenko stated that any agreement about moving the state border of Ukraine is out of question.

He stated this during a visit to a mobile border unit at Bortnychi near Kyiv, Censor.NET reports referring to Interfax-Ukraine. "The state border is a key element of the sovereignty, territorial integrity of Ukraine. No trades, no agreement about the alleged transfer or moving of the border cannot exist," Poroshenko said. According to him, currently the process of creating a reliable line of defense in the area of the ATO is under way, the task of the President to create a "sanitary zone" to protect the country from the penetration reconnaissance and sabotage groups is being conducted.

"Any other interpretation is political speculation that hit not only political speculation hitting political opponents but they hit the whole country. And it is our task - to protect the border," the President said referring to the border guards.
