As reported by a correspondent for Censor.NET from the courtroom, Judge Viacheslav Pidpalyi of the Pechersk district court will preside at tomorrow’s bail hearing.
Bubenchyk’s lawyers yesterday requested the judge’s recusal. It became known today that this motion was not granted. Therefore, the case will continue being considered by the same judge.
There is still no reliable information as for the replacement of the board of prosecutors in this case.
"There were reports about replacement in the board of prosecutors. But we get all the information from the media reports, the same as all of you do. The same prosecutor attended the hearing of petition on the judge's recusal this morning. One can only wonder what will happen tomorrow," Bubenchyk’s lawyer Lesia Yavorska told journalists.
On April 3, the law enforcers detained Maidan activist, People's Hero of Ukraine, ex-soldier of Dnipro-1 battalion Ivan Bubenchyk on charges of the murder of Berkut riot police officers on Kyiv’s Maidan Nezalezhnosti in February 2014.
