Poland’s Prime Minister to NATO Secretary General: Alliance Cannot Ignore Conflict in Ukraine

Poland and NATO cannot ignore the Ukrainian-Russian conflict and the need to act quickly to ensure the security of the region.

According to Censor.NET citing Ukrinfrom, this was stated by Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz during a joint briefing with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

"For my government, the security issues are of paramount importance. Therefore, the conflict at our eastern border leads to the fact that Poland, as well as NATO has no right to treat the seriousness of the situation (in Ukraine) lightly," Kopacz said.

The Prime Minister noted that Poland has an ambitious program to modernize the army and is ready to become an example of NATO with respect to the implementation of decisions of the North Atlantic Alliance summit.
