A source familiar with the matter told Censor.NET that an eavesdropping device was found in Kholodnytskyi’s office on March 6. It turned out that the court-sanctioned wiretapping was carried out by the NABU detectives under the procedural direction of the PGO’s department investigating crimes associated with the public service and state property.
The wiretaps were passed to Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko. Kholodnytskyi's office has been wiretapped for several months. No details of the conversations or results of the investigation have been made public so far. The heads of PGO, NABU, and SAP could not be immediately reached for comment.
Several news agencies earlier reported that Kholodnytskyi considered his resignation over alleged health issues. According to another opinion, possible resignation of SAP’s chief can be connected to the pressure exerted on him.
