 United States Urged Russia to Immediately Fulfill Minsk Agreement Obligations

Secretary of State John Kerry during a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov called on Moscow and the Russia supported terrorists to immediately start Minsk peace agreements implementation.

Department of State spokesperson Jen Psaki reported this at the briefing in Washington, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinfrom.

The conversation took place Friday morning. "They held about 10-minute long phone conversation, during which the Secretary of State has expressed its concern about the escalation of violence in the east of Ukraine," the Department of State representative said.

Kerry said that "Russia and the separatists, whom it supports, should start to immediately fulfill its obligations" as defined in the Ceasefire Agreement of September 5 and the memorandum of September 19, signed in Minsk, including the restoration of pertinent protection of the Russian-Ukrainian border.
