MP, leader of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people in 1991-2013 Mustafa Cemilev said this during a debate on Ukraine at a meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, European Pravda reports.
Cemilev noted that the probability of the regular Russian army invasion from Crimea to the mainland of Ukraine in the near future remains very high, because "there is a great number of the Russian military equipment and manpower in Crimea."
"There is a danger that upon the hostilities outbreak the "fifth column" in Crimea will be destroyed in the first place, namely Crimean Tatars, who do not recognize the Russian regime. There are already the lists of people who are planned to be kidnapped and killed," he said.
Besides, Cemilev said that three Crimean Tatar activists went missing over the past four days.
"The Crimean Tatar people are now in the most difficult and dangerous situation, because they have always opposed the illegal occupation," the MP said.
