"The greatest number of enemy attacks was recorded at the Svitlodarsk salient in Luhansk direction: the invaders repeatedly employed 122-mm artillery and 120-mm mortars against the ATO forces deployed near Luhanske village.
"Ten 122-mm artillery shells and about two dozen 120-mm mortar projectiles exploded near the strong points on the outskirts of Troitske. The invaders shelled defenders of Krymske with mortars of various calibers and grenade launchers while positions in the vicinity of Novhorodske were fired upon with 82-mm mortars and infantry weapons.
"It was relatively calm in Donetsk direction before dawn. However, the aggressor was firing upon the Ukrainian troops deployed near Pisky village with tank weapons, grenade launchers of various types, and large-caliber machine guns for over an hour in the daytime. Grenade launchers and machine guns were also employed against defenders of Shyrokyne.
"The invaders committed a total of 17 attacks over the past day in which a Ukrainian soldier received combat trauma. He was taken to a healthcare facility in a satisfactory condition and where he received proper treatment," the situation report reads.
Earlier, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the Ukrainian troops 14 times on Feb. 6.
