According to latest information, the bus carrying civilians was fired upon by the militants of the illegal armed group of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” also known as the “DPR”. The local residents who were crossing the demarcation line through the checkpoint said one civilian was killed and another one was injured in the attack.
“Such cynical actions of the Russian mercenaries are aimed at discrediting the Ukrainian army amidst the upcoming visit of Alexander Hug, the principal deputy chief monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine, to the occupied areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” the agency said.
The ATO headquarters said that the information spread by some pro-Russian media that the bus was allegedly attacked by the Ukrainian troops was untrue.
"We once again emphasize that the ATO forces strictly observe the Minsk agreements," the statement reads.
