Having opened the meeting, the speaker urged the MPs to work as fruitful as possible especially while considering the bill on special government policies in securing Ukraine’s sovereignty over the temporarily occupied territories of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"I am convinced that we ought to approve it (the bill on the Donbas – Ed.) as it stands today. Moreover, the Russian Federation must be recognized as an aggressor state by the decision of the Verkhovna Rada," Parubii said.
After that, according to the speaker, Rada will try to put on the agenda a number of bills including the one granting foreign troops the access to the territory of Ukraine for taking part in joint drills. Parubii also said other critical national security and defense issues were on the agenda.
