All the designated individuals were included into the list in 2014, as evidenced by the following program codes:

As reported, the U.S. shall implement a number of entries of the law expanding sanctions against Iran, Russia, and North Korea adopted last summer by the end of January. The law also provides for drafting of a list of government officials, heads of state-owned companies, entities associated with the Russian government, involved in human rights violations in Russia or supporting Russian aggression against Ukraine.

It was also reported that Russia’s major businessmen hold talks with the U.S. Department of the Treasury and the U.S. Department of State seeking to evade inclusion into the list of entrepreneurs close to Russia’s political leadership subject to forthcoming sanctions.
