No Ukrainian soldier killed or injured in 27 enemy attacks committed over past day, - ATO HQ

The Russian-occupation troops continue shelling positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with mortars of various calibers and tanks that must have been withdrawn from the contact line long time ago under Minsk peace deal.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters press center as of Dec. 6, 2017.

“In Luhansk direction, the invaders stepped up attacks after dark. While the ATO forces’ positions near Novoluhanske came under single strike with 120-mm mortars in the daytime, the enemy repeatedly fired upon Ukrainian troops’ defenses in the vicinity of Luhanske with 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms after dusk. The militants shelled defenders of Travneve and Novooleksandrivka with grenade launchers and employed light infantry weapons against the defenders of Lobachiove and Stanytsia Luhanska.

“In Donetsk direction, the most intense attacks were committed in the Azov Sea littoral in the daytime: the invaders repeatedly fired upon several villages not far from Mariupol, namely Vodiane and Starohnativka, with mortars of various types and weapons of smaller calibers. On top of everything else the defenders of Shyrokyne were shelled with a tank. The militants employed grenade launchers and small arms against the ATO forces’ positions on the outskirts of Hnutove.

“In the evening, the epicenter of the confrontation moved from the Azov Sea littoral to the outskirts of Avdiivka. The aggressor repeatedly fired upon the defenders of this front-line town with all available infantry weapons and mortars.

"In general, the militants breached truce 27 times over the past 24-hour period while more than a half of the enemy attacks was suppressed by the Ukrainian servicemen. No Ukrainian defender was killed or injured in action," the situation report reads.

Earlier, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 24 times on Dec. 5.
