Putin Voices Agreements With Poroshenko: Terrorists Are To Cease Offensive


Vladimir Putin agreed on a plan to resolve the situation with Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko.

The declaration was made by the Russian president in Mongolia, reports Censor.NET referring to ITAR-TASS.

Putin said the plan contained seven items.

"In order to stop bloodshed and stabilize the situation in the southeast of Ukraine, I believe the conflicting sides should immediately agree and carry out the following actions in coordination," he said.

First, the Russian leader said, "active offensive operations of armed formations of southeastern Ukrainian militiamen should be stopped on the Donetsk and Luhansk directions."

Putin says use of aviation against civilians in Ukraine's southeast should be stopped.

As reported by "Interfax-Ukraine," another item on the reconciliation agenda is withdrawal of the Ukrainian armed forces "from the South-East regions."
