"Russia is far from drifting into any large-scale conflict. We do not want it and we are not going to do it," Putin said.

"Certainly, we were always ready to repel any aggression against Russia. Our partners, no matter in what condition their states are and what foreign policy views they adhere to, should always remember that we are not to be messed with. I think that nobody comes upon unleashing a large-scale conflict with Russia today," the president of the Russian Federation said, adding that Russia is one of the most powerful nuclear weapon states.
