According to Censor.NET, citing Hromadske TV,Savchenko has pleaded not guilty and called the Russian court unfair and politically motivated.
"I do not plead guilty. I did not kill journalists. I do not understand what have Russian investigation and the court to do with what is happening in Ukraine. I serve Ukraine and do my job. How foreigners can decide how I am allowed to defend the Motherland?", she said.
During the meeting, Savchenko said that thanks to God and the UkrainiansYanukovych was oustedfrom the countryand she hopes that soon the Russians will be free from Putin.
Later today the court extended detention of Nadia Savchenko to October 30, 2014.
