 Russian Commanders Admit that Their Paratroopers Killed in Ukraine

Representatives of the Command of the 331st Guards Regiment of the 98th Svir Red Banner Airborne Division confirmed the loss of personnel after the "accidental" collision with the Ukrainian army. They admitted it at a meeting with relatives of paratroopers. Earlier, soldiers of this regiment were detained on Monday by the Ukrainian military in the Donetsk region, Представители командования 331-го гвардейского полка 98-й Свирской Краснознаменной воздушно-десантной дивизии, военнослужащие которой были задержаны в понедельник украинскими военными в Донецкой области, на встрече с родными десантников подтвердили потери среди личного состава после "случайного" столкновения с украинской армией.

Relatives of soldiers who were present at the meeting in Kostroma told this to RBK, Censor.NET reports. According to the relatives, the paratroopers had no idea where they were going, because they were told that they were going in the Rostov region on training. Only at the last moment they learned that the trip may last until winter.

The Security Service of Ukraine earlier informed a bout the arrest of ten Russian soldiers who criminally invaded the territory of Ukraine. Neither the Defense Ministry nor the Russian Foreign Ministry did not comment the information officially, but a source in the Defense Ministry in a talk with journalists suggested that the Russian military were "lost" and by mistake moved 20 kilometers into Ukraine while patrolling the border. In the evening, the same version was voiced by President Vladimir Putin, making it clear that he sees nothing wrong in the incident, since Ukrainian soldiers "came" in armored vehicles into the territory of the Russian Federation and they are not detained.
