This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk on Tuesday, August 19, during a meeting with representatives of the largest agricultural producers in Ukraine, which was held in the Cherkasy region, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Cabinet.
"Do you understand what Russia is doing? It is not just conducting a military intervention, it is not simply a political intervention. It is conducting, first of all, the economic and political destruction of Ukraine," the Prime Minister said.
According to him, as a result of such actions of the Russian side Ukraine is experiencing very difficult times since the bombardments are conducted against the civilian population, infrastructure, mines, factories, etc.
"And the bombing is targeted in order to completely knock out the economic foundation for any development," the Prime Minister said.
"The situation in Ukraine is complicated. I do not even simple words to describe it. To say that it is difficult is to say nothing. War, sacrifice, tragedy, a neighbor who is not a neighbor any more, a neighbor who has become the enemy - and we must call things by their names - that infringes on the country, on our land, on your business," Yatsenyuk said.
