 22 People Killed in Luhansk by Shelling Yesterday (updated)

22 civilians were killed during shelling in Luhansk on August 13.

The representative of Luhansk Regional State Administration reported this to Ukrainski Novyny.

According to him, 22 people were killed on Wednesday as a result of mortar shelling of the eastern neighborhoods of the city.

Shells damaged a bus, a shop and some houses.

Shelling of Luhansk residential neighborhoods continue.

At the same time, the press service of the Luhansk city council reported that the situation in Luhansk is extremely critical, the city is still completely blocked, the hostilities and shelling continue.

"According to the locals, eastern Luhansk was intensively shelled yesterday, August 13. According to eyewitnesses¸ many civilians were injured and killed by shelling. The exact number of casualties is specified," the mayor's office emphasized.

The situation in Luhansk remains without changes: the city is still without power, water and communications for twelve days already.

Food, medicines and fuel is still not supplied to the city. All banks are closed; no payments are committed in the city.
