 Ambush for the Ukrainian Soldiers near Ilovaisk Prepared by Russia's Main Intelligence Directorate - Donbas Battalion Commander

Commander of the Donbas Battalion Semen Sementchenko said that August 13 he buried his two soldiers who were killed in an ambush near Ilovaisk that was arranged by an intelligence unit of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU).

He said this on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports, cititng UNN.

"Today I buried my two soldiers, the guys from Kyiv, who were killed by a subversive group, whom we identify as a separate intelligence unit of the GRU of the General Staff of the Russian Federation. They were killed in an ambush in Ilovaisk," he said.

"We saw a lot of locals in the so-called militia, a lot of Cossack type like Babai [one of the terrorist leaders in easter Ukraine - Ed.], Chechen militants. Depending on the city, there is at least half of the local population among the militants," he concluded.
