Ukraine hasbegun the process of filing a lawsuit in the International Court ofJustice of the United Nations concerning the violation by Russia ofan international convention on the prohibition of the terrorismfinancing and for the support of the terrorists in the east of thecountry. Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko stated this in aninterview for channel 5, Censor.NET reports citing lb.ua.
"Thelitigation, which is now being prepared, is a question about theevents in the east of the country. We have indisputable proof ofRussian support of the terrorists with weapons, equipment, moneyand mercenaries. Ukraine has begun the process of filing the caseto the International Court of Justice against Russia concerning theviolation of international Convention on the prohibition of thefinancing of terrorism. This is a very serious international act,which carry severe sanctions, " Petrenko said.
Accordingto him, corresponding note was sent to Russia.
Petrenkoalso noted that pretrial procedure lasts about 7 months.
Theassessment of the damage inflicted to the Ukrainian companies bythe Russian occupation of the Crimea is completed and the materialshave been submitted to the European Court of Human Rights, he saidin addition.
Earlier,the United States accused Russia of supporting the insurgents ineastern Ukraine.
