The court in the town of Krasny Sulin in Rostov region of Russia decided to detain the commander of the 1st battalion of the 72nd brigade, Major Ivan Voitenko for 2 months and also arrested his 4 subordinates.

The Consulate General of Ukraine in Rostov-on-Don officer reported this being at the courthouse, Censor.NET informs citing UNIAN.

Meanwhile the Court continues to conduct a trial on 4 more Ukrainian officers. "The session is in process and now there is a decision to arrest for 2 months the commander of the first battalion of the 72nd Brigade, Major Ivan Voitenko. There is no decision on the other officers yet but everyone understands that this scenario has been agreed long ago," the consular officer said.

At the same time, he stressed that, despite the objections of Ivan Voitenko and his Russian lawyer, the court decided to hold the session behind closed doors. "We were kicked out of the room," said the consular officer. He stressed that he demanded that the court admitted the demand of the Ukrainian government to immediately release the Ukrainian officers who are held illegally.

It became known later that the Court satisfied the investigation request of detaining all the suspects. The official representative of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Vladimir Markin reported this, Censor.NET informs citing Novosti Donbasa.
