"The ambulance helicopter MI-8 was shot down. It was flying to take the wounded according to the preliminary agreement that it would not be fired at. The helicopter had all identification markings but still was hit," the speaker said.
He added: "The crash site and the location where the helicopter was hit are not disclosed. We are not revealing it because we are distressed for the life of the pilots."
He said being asked by journalists if he could confirm the information that appeared in some media about a Ukrainian military plane downed by the terrorists: "I can not confirm the information about the jet, I have no information."
