 Russia Released 200 Ukrainian Servicemen Who Crossed the Border Back to Ukraine - Media

According to preliminary data, the convoy with the Ukrainian soldiers departed towards the border crossing point Veselo-Voznesenka.

Another 200 soldiers who crossed the Russian border escaping the terrorists' shelling on Monday night are returning to Ukraine. ITAR-TASS reports this citing the head of the press service of the regional border guard department of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Vasilii Malaev, Censor.NET informs citing hromadske.tv

He noted that the military will be transferred to Ukraine at the checkpoint Veselo-Voznesenka.

The Ukrainian soldiers were in a special military camp in Russia near the border with Ukraine. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said about 245 Ukrainian military to be in the territory of the Russian Federation. According to the diplomatic agency they were interrogated by intelligence agencies of the Russian Federation.

Earlier it was reported that several military from the 72nd Motorized Brigade and the Border Guard Service in particular, appealed to the Russian border guards with a request to let them to Russia through the checkpoint Gukovo on Monday night.
