Secretary of Security and Defense Council Parubii Submitted His Resignation – News Media

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Andrii Parubii submitted his resignation.

This is reported by Insider citing its own sources, Censor.NET writes.

"The statement was submitted on July 25. The reason is the differences in the positions of the President and the NSDC Secretary, in particular regarding information policy," the source said.

According to him, the President has not signed the resignation yet because he has not decided on the successor.

One of the candidates is considered to be current Head of the SBU Valentyn Nalyvaichenko, but he does not agree to leave his current post. "And appointment without consent may cause a conflict with Klitschko," the source noted.

Another candidate is Yurii Stets.

Andrii Parubii was appointed the Secretary of the National Security Council in February 2014 by Acting President Oleksandr Turchynov.
