Interpol Puts Former Ukrainian Energy Minister Stavytskyi on Wanted List

Interpol has declared former Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytskyi wanted on charges of misappropriation, embezzlement or conversion of property by malversation, if committed in respect of an especially gross amount, or by an organized group.

Ex-official profile has been posted 'wanted' on the Interpol website. It contains the personal data and three photos of the suspect.

Stavytskyi is wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement authorities to serve his sentence.

Interpol asks everybody who is informed about the suspect whereabouts to report to the local law enforcement agencies or Interpol units.

Stavytskyi vanished from sight on February 27. It was reported earlier reported that Prosecutor General's Office investigators had seized about 50 kilos of gold and $5 million from Stavytskyi's apartment on March 21.
