According to the army officials referring to the information gained by the intelligence, Aleksander Prosyolkov was killed by the militants of the so-called Army of the South-East, who are subordinate to the leader of the Luhansk terrorists V.Bolotov.
"According to the preliminary data, Prosyolkov accompanied loaded trucks. The convoy was attacked by terrorists of the LPR, who probably thought that it was ATO forces convoy. Several terrorists including Prosyolkov were killed in a shootout as it turned out later," the anti-terrorist center says.
They added that the Ukrainian military did not participate in this clash.
"Such attacks on convoys became common due to the ATO forces measures which deprived the terrorists' units the ability to communicate. That is why the insurgents often attack their own convoys, robbing and killing each other," the Ukrainian officials say.
