 Poroshenko Proposes a Tripartite Meeting of Contact Group of Ukraine, Russia and the OSCE in Belarus

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko appealed to President Alexander Lukashenko with a request to assist in conducting a meeting of the tripartite liaison group for the peaceful settlement of the conflict in eastern Ukraine in Minsk on July 31, 2014

This was stated by Poroshenko during a meeting with Ukrainian wives and mothers of servicemen, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the President.

In his appeal Poroshenko noted that the work of the group will be held "with the participation of second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, Russian ambassador [to Ukraine] Mikhail Zurabov and an OSCE representative."

According to the President, the contact the group is to discuss two issues: to release all hostages held by the militants and ensure the admission of international experts to the crash site of the Malaysian airlines Boeing.
