As of July 23, 53 members of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are held captive by terrorists. The Deputy Minister of Defense Petro Mehed reported about it, Censor.NET informs, citing lb.ua.
"Up to date, we have information about nearly 100% of our captives, we know the place (of their content), the conditions in which they are contained and we are negotiating their release. As of this morning 53 soldiers were captured," he said.

Mehed also reported that on Wednesday 22 Ukrainian wounded servicemen expected to return to Ukraine. They are being treated in hospitals of the Rostov region (Russia) after the fight at the border on July 17.
It was reported earlier that on July 20, the NSDC Information Center reported that 396 people are hostages of the terrorists, including three journalists, six politicians, a lawyer, a judge, and 321 civilians.
