Ukraine will Impose Sanctions against Russian Citizens Supporting the Terrorists as well as Companies Supporting the Annexation of Crimea - Yatsenyuk

The Cabinet of Ministers will introduce personal sanctions against Russian citizens and companies that finance terrorists in Ukraine.

The government has established appropriate sanctions committee, Prime Minister Yatsenyuk noted on Wednesday, Ukrainska Pravda reports.

According to him, the committee will include representatives of the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Justice, "the economic and financial blocks, police and law enforcement agencies."

"Ukraine will impose sanctions in respect of each individual having a Russian passport, and directly or indirectly supporting the terrorists. The committee will also keep track of all the companies that supported the annexation of Crimea financially or through administrative pressure," Yatsenyuk said.

"We are also talking about sectoral sanctions against individual companies that finance separatists and terrorists," he added.

Yatsenyuk instructed his subordinates to submit to the Government a list of businesses and individuals who fall under the sanctions within 10 days.

He also instructed the Interior Ministry, the Prosecutor General and the Security Service to create a special commission to investigate the involvement of Ukrainian MPs and officials and Ukrainian companies in the financing of terrorism.
