Head of the Luhansk Department of the Internal Affairs Ministry Anatolii Naumenko said about this, the press service of the Interior Ministry reports.
"Law enforcement officers took control of the buildings of the City Council, police department as well as the regional department of the Security Service," the statement says.
Units of the National Guard and the Interior Ministry took part in the liberation of the city.

"The Ukrainian forces found the bodies of two people who were shot. Moreover, four hostages were released, who are residents of neighboring areas. They spent about a month in captivity. The oldest among them is 57 years old, the youngest - 21. The released people reported that terrorists tortured them," the Interior Ministry says.
