Verkhovna Rada Approves Partial Mobilization: "This Will Help Us to Clear Militants from Ukraine Quickly"

The Verkhovna Rada has passed a bill endorsing the "Partial Mobilization" decree of President Petro Poroshenko by 232 votes.

This document was presented in the Verkhovna Rada by NSDC Secretary Andrii Parubii, Censor.NET reports, citing Novyy region.

"Additional mobilization provides 45 days to oust Russian invaders from our land! It is proposed to hold a third round of mobilization. This will further mobilize 15 additional combat units and 44 units for combat support. This will allow to strengthen the mobilization of all state borders, to localize the whole groups of militants, and day after day to liberate cities from the terrorists. The third round of the mobilization will enable to clear the territory of Ukraine of militants in the shortest time. But it is impossible to say the exact timing now," Parubii said.

Parubii assured that "conscripts" and untrained people will not be drafted to the Army. The mobilization will be held only by drafting "professional military personnel."

However, during the discussion MPs had some questions.

Thus, MP Lesia Orobets reminded that the first two waves of mobilization did not ensure effectiveness of the ATO. Therefore, without the report of the President and Defense Minstry in the parliament, it makes no sense to make a decision on the further mobilization. According to her, the most important thing is that the Defense Ministry is still hiding the exact number of casualties among the soldiers.
