5 Civilians Killed and 16 Injured in Luhansk in the Last 24 Hours - City Council

On July 21 the situation in the territory of Luhansk remained tense. The crisis center received 1,756 complaints of citizens. As a result of armed clashes five civilians were killed. There were 137 EMS calls including 16 in regard to gunshot wounds and injuries among the civilian population.

The press service of the Luhansk city council told Censor.NET that many areas of the city were shelled by artillery.

As a result of the clashes that took place in the city, there have been accidents and damage to the essential services. In particular, over 20,000 consumers were cut off from the power supply, over 7,000 - from water, and more than 12,000 from gas supply.

Utilities and emergency services are working in emergency mode, restoring the damaged communications and renewing electricity, water and gas supply to the consumers. The work of experts to eliminate the outages and damage is seriously complicated by the constant bombardments of the regional center due to which they cannot always promptly get to the scene.
