Donald Tusk informed Petro Poroshenko that the EU countries' leaders were in a constant multilateral dialogue regarding the situation. "You are absolutely right when calling the actions of illegal armed groups in the Donbas terrorism," Donald Tusk claimed. He also added that those actions would have international consequences, Censor.NET reports citing the official website of the Ukrainian Head of State.
Particularly, the Prime Minister of Poland notes that the next step after the meeting of the Council of the European Union of July 22 could become the convocation of extraordinary session of the European Council with participation of the heads of the EU countries that would facilitate coordination of more decisive actions.
In his turn, Petro Poroshenko emphasized that Ukraine was doing everything necessary for proper international investigation into reasons of the tragedy and overcoming its consequences. Though, according to the President, terrorists significantly hinder the investigation. The commission of inquiry has not been allowed to access the crash site for more than 96 hours already. Terrorists continue to commit crimes eliminating the evidence of the terrorist act.
Petro Poroshenko expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Tusk for his solidarity in extremely difficult times for Ukraine. "This tragedy united all our European nations," the President emphasized.
