One More Crew Member of AN 26 Aircraft Shot Down by Terrorists on July 14t Has Been Rescued


One more crew member of AN 26 aircraft shot down by Russian mercenaries on July 14 has been rescued.

Censor.NET referring to Facebook of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense. According to it, the air mechanic was not captured by the terrorists, but got help from civilians who rescued him and helped him to leave the area controlled by the terrorists.

"As it has been reported earlier, on July 14 at 12:30am, communication was lost with the Ukrainian Air Force AN 26 transportation plane performing his mission as part of the active phase of the ATO. The plane was flying at 21325 ft (6500m). Later, some crew members succeeded in getting in touch with the General Staff. Controversial information had been coming about the Ukrainian Air Force serviceman who is rescued today. Some reports claimed he had been captured. Currently, this courageous man is in a safe place", stated the Ministry of Defense.

There were eight crew members on board of the aircraft. Four were rescued earlier this week. Two pilots have been found dead. The fate of another crew member remains unknown.
