 Foreign Ministry Sent Russia a Note Regarding Shelling of Marynivka: We Demand to Stop Provocations

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs sent a note to the Russian Foreign Ministry regarding shelling of Marynivka checkpoint from the territory of the Russian Federation.

It is reported by Ukrainian Foreign Ministry press service, Censor.NETwrites.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses a categorical protest and has sent an appropriatenote to the Russian Foreign Ministry in connection with just another outrageous provocation on the Ukrainian-Russian state border. On the night of July 12 Marynivka checkpoint was fired with mortars from the the village Kuibyshevo (Rostov region, Russian Federation)," the statement mentions.

In addition, several cases of violation of Ukrainian airspace by UAVs, which flew from the Russian Federation, were recorded yesterday.

"Despite repeated requests of the Ukrainian side, the Border Service of the Russian Federation has not taken any steps to prevent numerous violations of the state border of Ukraine by armed men and military equipment from Russia," Foreign Ministry stressed.

The Ministry demanded Russia to stop provocations on the border.

MFA expects international community to give an impartial assessment of the Russian side actions, which lead to escalation of violence in the East of Ukraine, and increase pressure on the Kremlin.
