"Fighting continues near the village because it is situated right next to the section of the Ukrainian-Russian border which Russian terrorists are trying to use for transportation of equipment and weapons. Ukrainian troops are covering this section," he said.
Answering the question why there is no reinforcement for the soldiers under fire, Lysenko said: "It is not true that there is no reinforcement. There is reinforcement both from land and air. The troops rotate. We can not say that those people are abandoned. But if Ukrainian unit leaves the position, Russian military equipment will move to Ukraine again."
It was reported earlier that 19 Ukrainian soldiers were killed and 93 were injured on July 11 after the terrorists shelled the ATO position with BM-21 Grad rocket system near Zelenopillia village (Luhansk region).
