This was stated by ATO press officer Vladyslav Selezniov on his Facebook page, Censor.NET reports.
"The media spread incorrect information regarding a large number of dead ATO participants. The officially report over the past day regarding casualties in different areas of the ATO constitutes 23 Ukrainian soldiers and border guards killed. 93 soldiers and border guards were injured. All wounded were provided corresponding medical assistance," Selezniov said.
However, head of the National Guard Information Security Yurii Stets told Ukrainska Pravda that the militants' shelling with the use of Grad near Rovenky killed 19 soldiers.
"As of now 19 soldiers were killed by Grad fire. This is the 17th kilometer to the south-east of the village of Rovenky," he said.
"Also last night two soldiers and two border guards were killed near Dovzhanskyi checkpoint Stets," he said.
"At the moment this is confirmed information according to data of all the law enforcement agencies - the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard and the Border Patrol," he said.
