 Terrorists Hold about 150 Ukrainians Hostage, among Them 42 Soldiers

There are at least 150 citizens of Ukraine who are hostages of terrorists in the Donbas.

At a press conference in Kharkiv Iryna Herashchenko, the President's representative on peaceful settlement of the conflict in the Donetsk and Lugansk regions and MP from the Udar Party, Censor.NET reports with reference to UNIAN.

"According to our Security Service, now about 150 Ukrainians are held hostage. Among them, 42 are representatives of our Armed Forces, 2 policemen, 3 border guards, and others are civilians, but it is only those people about whom we know, so perhaps this figure is higher," Herashchenko said.

She stressed that the peace plan of President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko requires "immediate and unconditional release of all hostages, without any pay or blackmailing."

It was reported that as of July 9, during just the last night (of July 9), 9 gunmen kidnapped more than 10 residents of Donetsk and Luhansk regions as well as over 20 cars of citizens and enterprises in the region.
