Censor.NET reports aboutit, citing thepress service of the President of Ukraine. President Poroshenkoheld a trilateral phone conversation with Federal Chancellor ofGermany Angela Merkel and President of France François Hollande.The Head of State expressed gratitude to Germany and FederalChancellor Angela Merkel for the decision to allocate EUR 2.5million for the needs of residents of Sloviansk andKramators.
"We consider this decision not only as financial, but also asmoral support of the EU countries," Petro Poroshenko stressed.
The President and the Chancellor discussed further steps onde-escalation of the situation in the Donbas. Petro Poroshenkoemphasizes that Ukraine appreciates efforts and support of Franceand Germany in the issue of peaceful settlement.
The Head of State informed the interlocutors on the situation inthe east of the country, particularly on the liberation of 5 citiesin Donetsk region in the past few days. Still, the situationremains tensed because of concentration of terrorists in Donetskand supply of weapons across the Ukrainian-Russian border forthem.
Interlocutors noted the absence of progress on behalf of Russiain the fulfillment of arrangements achieved earlier. The Presidentemphasized that the members of trilateral contact group werewilling to discuss different options on place and time of the nextmeeting, but the other side was unwilling to do so.
The Head of State also drew attention to the fact that pilot ofthe Armed Forces of Ukraine Nadiya Savchenko had been captured bymilitants in Luhansk region and found in prison of the city ofVoronezh. The President called the occasions of bringing hostagescaptured by terrorists to Russia inadmissible.
