He said this at a briefing on Tuesday inSloviansk where he arrived on a working visit, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine. "I have been toldthat the power supply in Sloviansk was restored on a temporarybasis today at 05.00 pm. It was the deadline set by me. The citythat lived without electricity for several weeks will be able toturn on the light today," he said.
ThePresident noted that Ukrainian maintenance crews will do everythingto return the city to normal life. "Ukrainian electriciansand service technicians are working 24 hours a day risking theirlives to return peace to Sloviansk. I'm sure they will fulfilltheir task perfectly," the Head of state said. According to him,local authorities were tasked to restore housing stock for theresidents to be able to return to their homes.
"We haveestablished the deadline for the schools restoration. The childrenshould be able go to school on September 1, because the childrengoing to school are also a symbol of peace," Poroshenkosaid.
