 Russian Intelligence Officer Supervised Delivery of Heavy Weapons to Terrorists in the Donbas - Security Service of Ukraine. PHOTOS

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) counterintelligence established that an officer of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Russia (GRU), a Russian citizen Valerii Travkin was involved in the weapon supply to terrorists in eastern Ukraine.

It is reported by SSU press service, Censor.NET writes.

According to the report, Travkin together with his accomplice from the GRU of the General Staff (GRU GSh), nicknamed the Greek, organized delivery of heavy weapons from the Rostov region of Russia, using the so-called corridors on the Ukrainian-Russian border.

It is also established that, as a Chechnia veteran, he helped preparing militants for terrorist organizations in the Luhansk region.

In addition, the Russian spy was among the organizers of the coordinating meeting of terrorist gang leaders of the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics which was held on June 24 in Rostov-on-Don city with participation of the security services and officials from the Russian Federation. At this meeting, the Russian side has called to complete subordination of terrorists, insurgents and mercenaries in Eastern Ukrainian directly to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
