 Russian Customs Closes Two Crossing Points on the Border with Ukraine

Two checkpoints Novoshahtinsk and Kuybushevo will not operate from the Russian side of the border with Ukraine.

This is stated by the press service of the Southern Customs Department of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Censor.NET reports.

"The passing of individuals and vehicles through the customs post of Novoshahtinsk (Rostov customs) has not yet been resumed. As reported earlier, it was shot at before dawn. Bomb technicians are working at the scene," the statement says.

According to the report, there is still no passage through Kuybyshevo crossing point (Taganrog customs) due to the termination of passage at the adjacent post of Marynivka (Ukraine).

"The situation remains to be difficult in the area of customs post Gukovo (Rostov customs). On the night of July 3, 2014 part of the customs post personnel was evacuated due to shooting in the territory of Ukraine. Several officials who conduct the passage of individuals and passenger transport in both directions remain in place," the press-service stated.
